Bio
I had the pleasure of learning under Mr. Hennessey in my junior year of high school. Mr. Hennessey taught me economics, but more importantly, introduced me to the world of finance. I also knew Mr. Hennessey through my school’s investment club (https://www.sjpinvestmentclub.com/) where he solidified my love for markets. Mr. Hennessey has been an extremely influential figure in both my personal and professional life, and our close contact means Mr. Hennessey is very qualified to speak on my character.
David’s Perspective
I had the pleasure of working with Neil in multiple contexts while he was a student at St. John’s Preparatory School, in my AP Economics class, and with the SJP Investment Club among many others. In all settings, Neil distinguished himself as an extremely mature and highly intelligent young man. Impressively, Neil possesses a keen, analytical mind along with a creative instinct that allows him to think outside the box. In combination, these two attributes provide the foundation for Neil to produce meaningful and high-quality results. In my AP Economics class, Neil was an exemplary student who excelled not only on traditional assessments but more importantly, during class discussions, when he articulately and insightfully expressed opinions on current economic events in a manner that far exceeded the scope of most of his peers. As a committed member of our school’s Investment Club, which manages a real-money stock portfolio, Neil single-handedly raised the level of sophistication of our club activities. Driven by a true passion for the financial markets and a relentless work ethic, Neil introduced many new investment insights to the group and worked selflessly to mentor our less experienced members.
In short, I am highly confident that Neil is positioned for many future successes. His organized and purposeful approach to learning and problem-solving make him an ideal partner in project-based work and his persistent, can-do attitude will, no doubt, insure significant and positive outcomes.
