Why Volunteer?
Volunteering has shaped my perspective, dreams, and personality in many beneficial ways. From a young age, my mother taught me always to donate my first paycheck, a lesson that has paid dividends to this day. Volunteering keeps my mind open to new perspectives from demographics I otherwise would not be interacting with often and reminds me about all the blessings I (sometimes) take for granted. Furthermore, I have always been aligned with companies that focus on giving back. My high school conducted a day of service, Eastern Bank gave all employees a day off to volunteer causes, and the non-profits I have worked with are below.
Volunteered as a morning shift shelter crew member
Tutored under privileged youth for college essays and STEM classes
Co-founded organization for driving donations during Australia fires
