Australia Strong was an organization built to combat the horrific wildfires that tormented Australia in 2019. Along with the help of a few peers, the group of us sold wristbands and donated all proceeds to the Red Cross to aid in the fight against the fires. Forming this organization was a battle, and reaching an interested audience was tough. We promoted the cause by having our friends post about the organization to try and exponentially expand our network. Moreover, directing fellow students was a difficult task, as the endeavor required that I be on my feet and receptive to different ideas.
